What to expect?
Consultation
I offer a free 15-minute consultation, which I believe is one of the most important steps in beginning therapy. Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is essential. This consultation is a chance for us to get a sense of whether we're a good fit. My goal is to ensure that I can provide the support you're looking for—and if it turns out that I'm not the right match, I’ll gladly offer referrals to help connect you with someone who is.
Intake
Our work together begins with an intake assessment—a one-hour session where I gather detailed background information to better understand your experiences. This process also includes written assessments and other tools that help inform a personalized approach to your care. I take time to thoughtfully synthesize all the information collected so we can collaborate on meaningful goals. From there, I create a tailored treatment plan, and we begin our work together.
Sessions
This phase—what I often refer to as the work of therapy—is collaborative, flexible, and tailored to your unique needs. Therapy is rarely a linear journey; it’s an ongoing, evolving process, and healing can take many forms. Together, we’ll face challenges, build on your existing strengths, and develop new skills, tools, and strategies to support you in daily life. Throughout our work, we’ll continue to refine our approach to ensure it aligns with your goals and helps you move forward.
